Chahan Minassian is multitalented : he is an interior designer, a designer, an antique dealer and a gallery owner. He has a passion for the American furniture of the 1930s to the 1960s, he presents, in his gallery of the Rue de Lille, pieces by Vladimir Kagan, Paul Evans, Karl Springer, Tommi Parzinger, Paul Laszlo, Philip and Kelvin Laverne, Edward Wormley, Harry Bertoia… and just next to it, at number 12 rue de Beaume, he becomes again an interior designer and presents his style for international customers.
For 150 years Pinton has been one of the great references of exceptional carpet and tapestry, projecting the tradition of Aubusson into modernity, with excellence and creativity as the only rules. Two poles make up the House: Pinton Manufacture for luxury decoration and Pinton Éditions for contemporary art.
Pinton Manufacture includes two collections, Haute Couture and Prêt à Porter, both of which use natural fibers spun and dyed by the artisans of the workshops. Wool and silk thus match leather, linen, cotton, bamboo or even metal and are worked in velvet or curly to dress exceptional places such as more traditional residences.
Pinton Éditions est voué à l’art contemporain depuis les débuts de la Manufacture. Pinton a ainsi tissé les plus grands noms, de Charles Le Brun à Fernand Léger ou Calder. Et aujourd’hui, la Maison met toujours son savoir-faire unique au service d’ artistes contemporains comme Jean-Michel Othoniel, Julien Colombier, Etel Adnan, Joe Tilson ou Victor Cadene, en leur offrant un champ d’investigation en constant renouvellement.
Et pour la toute première fois, Pinton édite une collection capsule de tapis pour enfants dessinés par l’illustratrice Stéphanie Mercier. Un bestiaire de quatre tapis de laine hauts en couleurs.

It is a celebration of the now and present. What remains a possibility thanks to passion and energy. That’s how he was defining his project when it started: to bring back to the light a great craftsmanship, threaten in the 80’s by mass-production, through the manufacturing of one-of-a-kind objects.

Dans une boutique décorée à l’origine par Jacques Garcia, Armand Ventilo crée un concept store chic où il mixe avec humour et génie des vêtements avec des meubles scandinaves chinés, les céramiques de Roger Capron ou de Vallauris, des plaids irlandais, des sacs et des accessoires vintage, des affiches rétro, des crayons et des carnets japonais… un bazar chic mais aussi un vrai lieu d’inspiration où l’on aime s’arrêter le temps de boire un thé ou un café.
De Gournay is a somewhat magical House, capable of creating all kinds of decorations: a chinoiserie fresco, 19th century French wallpaper, a ceiling made with gold leaf, nothing is impossible. For this, the House calls on the best craftsmen and exceptional decorative painters, trained in all techniques, from the most ancestral to the most innovative. French know-how in all its splendour.
In the grandiose setting of the former swimming-pool of the Lutetia Hotel, three structures made of wood have been put up. A sort of futurist and mobile cabins now come to modify the rigor of the space by conveying a convivial touch.
Those structures house thematic and temporary spaces in which the “House Art” takes up a lot of room, particularly with the new editions of Jean-Michel Franck’s furniture.
Dans sa boutique rive gauche, on retrouve les ambiances qui font le succès de Caravane, de la salle à manger au salon, en passant par la chambre : les draps de lin teint, les courtepointes, les coussins de coton egyptien et de velours, les luminaires, les canapés originaux et tous les objets des quatre coins du monde que seule Caravane sait dénicher pour nous.
