Since 1797, Zuber has been printing its wallpapers, its fabrics and its leathers “à la planche”. It is the last factory in the world to use this technique dating back to the 18th century. The factory has preserved all its original plates (which are on the historical register) and continues to use them to create panoramic decors, decorative panels, velvet, organza or silk materials. The themes are numerous : from China to India or Constantinople passing by America or the wonderful floral patterns from 18th century France …

Carpets in limited or continuous editions with patterns that draw their inspiration from the decorative tradition of wallpaper, fabric, embroidery, architecture and French gardens : it is pretty original ! But what makes all the difference at Casa Lopez is the style department which, from archives or a wish, offers to create a drawing which corresponds to our desires, then to chose with us the material or materials of our carpet : wool, cotton, silk, hessian, string or sisal, that we will even be able to mix to create some effects. Frey makes fabrics and wallpapers in the purest French tradition. A wide collection of 7000 references which gathers together the creations signed Pierre Frey and those created by three other prestigious brands of the company : Braquenié, Fadini Borghi and Bouassac. Frey is also the story of a passion which has been passed on to three generations : Pierre Frey who created the company in 1935 and soon became the idol of decorators and antique dealers, then his son, Patrick, who has been signing, since 1975, every new model of fabrics looking for inspiration in the spirit of the age, travels, art or History and his two sons, Pierre et Vincent, who have already started taking over from there father.
Tai Ping Carpets, a fifty year old art tapestry maker, launches every season a major collection and edition of carpets by designers. Many interior decorators are inspired by it and ask for a specific color, thread or size that would fit their projects.
Christian Liaigre does not like fashion and does not deny it, nature inspires him. His style is contemporary, uncluttered and has been influencing many designers for twenty five years. His favorite material is wood, in particular wengé, dark and African, that contributed a lot to drawing to him the attention of the public. He likes having many projects, creating collections of furniture, rethinking a place like the Hotel Mercer in New York City or famous people’s houses (Lagerfeld, Kenzo, Rupert Murdoch, Bryan Adams) nearly everywhere in the world.
Véronique Saintien and Francis Cat-Berro have been EDITING for more than twenty years unique pieces and limited series of design. Some great names of contemporary design are listed among the artists they present exclusively : Mattia Bonetti, Jacques Jarrige, Olivier Gagnère, Patrick Naggar or Eric Schmitt.
Founded in 1938 by Hans Knoll and his wife Florence, Knoll is really important in 20th century design. This company worked with most of the post-war architects and designers and a huge part of its furniture is now part of Design History and of the collections of the major museums, particularly the MOMA in New York City. At the beginning of this venture, Hans Knoll pulled off a remarkable feat by initiating Americans into European design, before calling in the best American designers, and his firm has always been a pioneer concerning innovation and creation.

Alexandre Biaggi dedicates his gallery to the figureheads of 20th century decorative arts: Jean-Michel Frank, André Arbus, Jacques Adnet, Paul Dupré- Lafon, Serge Roche, Jean Royère, Jacques Quinet, Ettore Sottsass, Gio Ponti… But he is more and more interested in contemporary creation and starts working with Hervé van der Straeten, Patrick Naggar, Mauro Fabbro, Patrice Dangel, Simone Crestani or Mathieu Matégot.

André Hayat presents pieces by Arbus, Leleu, Royère, Dufrene, Prouvé and Matégot but also develops an exclusive collection by having young designers working on the Mirror with new materials, new shapes and forgotten knowledge in the field of glass.

This gallery reflects the personalities of two associates who created it : Anne Deconinck and Geoffrey Renaud, who started at Drouot or at the Saint-Ouen flea market. Specialized in decorative arts of the 20th century (1920-1970), the gallery exhibits Jacques Quinet or Louis Sognot as well as decorators who are less well-known by the general public (Zimmerman, Avril, Ico Parisi), but it also shows contemporary ceramic.
