MOYNAT
The history of Maison Moynat begins with the industrial boom and the invention of elegant travel trunks that redefined the art of travel. The House perpetuates this pioneering spirit by highlighting the unique know-how of craftsmen, through special orders requiring exceptional know-how.
Contemporary Moynat trunks such as travel bags or handbags are all revisited in a modern interpretation, using the House’s most refined materials. Each trunk remains faithful to the archives: nails respecting a regular spacing, tinted leather edges, goatskin linings and clasps inspired by historical trunks. The lightness of the wicker of the English Trunk (1873), the curved bottom of the legendary Limousine Trunk (1902), the original silhouette of the Wheel Trunk (1906), the sense of proportion and the detail of the finishes are all inexhaustible sources of inspiration for Nicholas Knightly, Creative Director of Moynat Paris.
